Red Tree Ministries

Small Groups

Our Small Groups are designed to create space for intentionally focused time on relationships, prayer, and the practical application of biblical teaching—moving known truth from sermons, Bible studies, and classes into action through personal renewal and work for the kingdom.

Want to Join a Small Group?

The purpose of our Small Groups is to see the movement of known truth (teaching from Sunday sermons, Bible studies, or classes) turned into action through prayer, personal renewal, and working for the kingdom.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have several Small Groups, representing various ages and stages, meeting in different places on different days and times. To learn more about joining a group, fill out the form below to connect with our Small Group Coordinator.

Contact our coordinator or "Explore Current Small Groups" (linked above) to view the current small group openings and request more information on a group.

Each group manages child care independently. Some hire a sitter while others use a parent/volunteer rotation.

An average small group night includes a shared meal, discussion of last week's sermon, and a time of prayer for each other.

Bruce Baker

Pastoral Apprentice

Meet Bruce Baker

Bruce grew up on a small farm in Michigan. That land and its people taught him to love God and love God’s creatures. Bruce ran varsity track and field at Olivet College. In between practice and meets, he also managed to earn his BA in Business Administration.

Bruce met his wife, Savannah, while serving as a camp counselor in 2017. They were married in 2019. Their son, Ellis is one year old, and they have another child on the way!

Bruce earned his M.Div. from RTS Orlando while serving as children and youth ministries director at his home church. Upon completing Bruce's theological education in Orlando, The Bakers moved to Ann Arbor where Bruce joined the staff of Red Tree Presbyterian Church. The Bakers enjoys coffee, ice cream, backpacking, reading, and running.
