Ann Arbor Fellows

Ann Arbor Fellows is a 9-month fellowship program helping young professionals disern and thrive in their vocations.

For Ann Arbor Fellows

What is God's calling on your life? Has he called you into the academy, parenthood, teaching, or construction? Perhaps you're not sure if God's called you to anything so specific as these careers. Whether you're confident in your calling or discerning God's call afresh, Ann Arbor Fellows exist to help you encounter God in your work.

For Churches

Ann Arbor Fellows wants to complement your young adult ministry, not replace it. That's why we help other churches form cohorts within their own congregations while benefiting from our retreats, monthly lectures, and broader social network. Here are the responsibilities of Participating Congregations.

Partnering Congregations

01

Sponsor Fellows in Their Congregation

Churches cover the cost of lectures, retreats, and books for their Fellows.

02

Mentor Fellows in Their Congregations

Churches provide mentors to each fellow for the duration of their fellowship

03

Support A Ministry Project

Fellows and their mentors form a leadership team that acomplishes a ministry project during the 9-month program.

04

Refer New Fellows

Churches refer potential fellows and mentors to Ann Arbor Fellows. We evaluate each applicant and make recommendations to the participating congregation.

Bruce Baker

Pastoral Apprentice

Meet Bruce Baker

Bruce grew up on a small farm in Michigan. That land and its people taught him to love God and love God’s creatures. Bruce ran varsity track and field at Olivet College. In between practice and meets, he also managed to earn his BA in Business Administration.

Bruce met his wife, Savannah, while serving as a camp counselor in 2017. They were married in 2019. Their son, Ellis is one year old, and they have another child on the way!

Bruce earned his M.Div. from RTS Orlando while serving as children and youth ministries director at his home church. Upon completing Bruce's theological education in Orlando, The Bakers moved to Ann Arbor where Bruce joined the staff of Red Tree Presbyterian Church. The Bakers enjoys coffee, ice cream, backpacking, reading, and running.
